In today's digital age, podcasts have become a popular medium for reaching new audiences and engaging with them on a more personal level. However, many businesses are still struggling to find effective ways to convert podcast listeners into potential clients. That's where a service that books sales meetings from podcasts comes in. This innovative solution connects businesses with potential clients who have shown interest in their product or service, through the engagement they've demonstrated by listening to or being a guest on a podcast. But with any new service comes a lot of questions. In this FAQ article, we'll address some of the most common queries clients may have about this unique service and explain how it can help businesses achieve their sales goals.

What is Twiz?

We provide a lead generation and content creation service that helps you book hundreds of sales meetings and go viral within your niche. We help faceless brands who send spam to prospects, become influencers in their niche and get access to decision makers by delivering value.

Twiz is a company started by Lucas James and Christian Velitchkov in 2018. We have been able to scale the business to $1.7m in revenue per year within 5 years, bootstrapped, and we use the same methods for our clients that we use for ourselves.

There are over 4,000 service businesses who are part of our online Facebook and Slack communities online who look to us for advice on a daily basis. We also have a podcast ranked in the top 5% of podcasts globally, and our brand gets over 2,000,000 views per year.

In short, our influencer lead generation program radically transforms businesses by blowing up their sales pipeline and helping them go viral by providing their prospects with value.

How do you get meetings?

Our outreach includes linkedin lead generation and cold email outreach to book either podcasts or partnership opportunities for our clients. We have learned that about 50 to 80% of these meetings turn into sales calls during the meeting.

How is this different from what I am currently doing?

You might be doing something like this already, and if you are successful at it, then you might not need us, congratulations! But, if you are like most people, you are probably struggling with the following problems:

  1. You are sending direct sales pitches to clients and are not getting any results
  2. Your clients are constantly trying to pay you less than you are worth because they do not see you as an authority figure
  3. Your calendar is dried up and you are not meeting with at minimum two businesses per day in your demographic

We help people solve their problems by booking 20 to 50 partner or podcast calls per month. We book the first meeting within 72 hours. We take the first meeting with the client and close the prospect on a sales call for the client. This ensures success and means we can scale the campaign.

In addition, we write thousands of words of content per month to position yourself as an authority in your industry. We post the content on your website to encourage people to visit your website. This increases your virality, closing rate, and perceived value.

I don’t have a podcast, how does this work?

Even if you do not have a podcast already, that is fine. We will set up the podcast for you, conduct the first interview, show you how to do the interviews yourself and give you everything you need to succeed. In fact, if you go to our website, Twiz.io, you can find the following articles about how podcasts can be used to convert prospects:

The reason podcasts work is because it is a way to instantly get them to:

  1. Know about you
  2. Like you
  3. Trust you

If you normally would get someone to come on a sales call when they are really grumpy or upset, you can turn them into a smiling happy prospect. This, in turn, gets them to like you. Also, people generally like people who give more than they receive. If you start the relationship off by giving them something then you are more likely to succeed. Lastly, if you are going to be sharing the podcast with thousands of people online, then you are going to win their trust. They also are going to be more likely to opt into a sales demo with you because they want to “win you over” since you have a lot of exposure you can tap into.

At the end of the day, podcasts work because you are leveraging a natural human emotion, which is to feel like they are someone important. The more you can get them to feel this way, the better.

What if my audience doesn’t want to go on a podcast?

This is possible, and if your audience does not want to go on a podcast then this may not be a good fit for you. The good news is twofold:

  1. You can sign up for our free lead gen training and determine for yourself if it is a good fit
  2. If you sign up with us, we will get meetings for you within 72 hours or your money back

So, in either situation, you will get results. Also, most business owners do want to be on a podcast. It is a great way to get free exposure for their brand, and people love to be on them.

How does a podcast or partnership approach work better than direct sales pitches?

Let’s answer this question with a visual example. Imagine you walk into a party and you do not know anybody. Now, let’s imagine that the first thing you do is start handing your business card to everyone. What do you think their reaction will be? It probably will not be very good. Now, instead, imagine you walk into the party and start handing everyone brownies before talking to them about business. Let’s say the brownies are really good. Unless they hate brownies they will probably like you a lot.

In short, our approach works because you build positive relationships and influence them first before you ask them for something.

Even though this strategy works really well for us, you do not need to take our word for it. Feel free to listen to this interview with the CMO of Scorpion. They are a SaaS marketing company who scaled from $20m to $150m ARR over 6 years without raising any money. They scaled their entire business through podcasts, partnerships, and gifting. They never led with a sales pitch.

This method works also for pure mathematical reasons. For example, if you reach out to 100 prospects with a direct sales pitch, you might be lucky to get 1 person to book a sales call. But, if you reach out to those same prospects with an invite to (a) come on a podcast or (b) become part of their partner referral program, you will get 10 to 20 meetings.

If just 50% of those people opt into a sales call, then you have 5 to 10x more sales meetings than before with the same amount of effort.

Will people get upset if I book a podcast meeting with them and afterwards sell them on my service?

This is a common question. We understand that the process is a bit strange, but we do not encounter difficulties like this with the guests on our show. The reason why is because we genuinely love doing the podcast. We think it's awesome to promote businesses and have them share their stories. Because of this, our first focus with every meeting is actually to have a great podcast interview. We want to start the relationship off by GIVING them value. The reason people do not get upset with this method is because we teach our clients how to be genuine on these calls. If you genuinely love doing the podcast episodes and you want your guest to succeed, then they will not be upset if you present them with an offer after the call. This is also because if you like doing the podcast it won't matter if you get a sales call from the meeting or not. So, even though our average opt in rate to a sales meeting for a client is over 80% from the podcast, you will fail if your only goal is to get something from people and not give them anything. You should be satisfied even if they do not book a sales demo.

Because of this, we recommend that people do not work with us if they are going to use pressure sales tactics to try and get someone to opt in after the podcast. The opt in after the call needs to be very casual and lighthearted. You have to be authentic. If this is a problem for you, then we recommend doing a direct sales pitch instead although that will likely book much less meetings. If you still want to be more transparent about the purpose of the podcast, we can let people know who you are and what you do in the outreach message. We can also add questions like, "after the podcast are you interested in learning how we can help you do X, Y, or Z?" This can give even more transparency and make things easier.
